ANSYS Short-Range Wireless Channel Methodology

Duration: 60 minutes

In this recording, we will focus on the ANSYS Short-Range Wireless Channel Methodology. This methodology will focus on how to properly create a full system model of a wireless router and printer as they might be configured in an office environment. The methodology will show how to use HFSS to simulate the wireless channel environment. The methodology will also show how to use the NexSys tool within Ansoft Designer to create an 802.11g transmitter and receiver. Lastly, the methodology will describe how the two simulation paradigms of circuit and EM simulation can be dynamically linked together to create a full wireless channel environment. This full wireless channel environment model can then be used to predict performance of the wireless network based on environmental factors such as transmitter and receiver location, physical obstructions, etc.

While this presentation is centered around a wireless router and printer this methodology can be applied to any short range wireless channel environments such Body Area Networks, Personal Area Networks or Local Area Networks.
