Ask the Expert - Tips, Tricks and Best Practices for Modeling in ANSYS Icepak

Duration: 60 minutes

ANSYS Icepak is a powerful computer-aided engineering (CAE) software tool that allows engineers to model electronic system designs and performs heat transfer and fluid flow simulations on component-level, board-level, or system-level applications. ANSYS Icepak provides a complete meshing flexibility and allows the user to model complex geometries using unstructured mesh in addition to our built in customized objects. In this recording, our panel of experts will share with you guidelines to ensure successful modeling of electronic applications using ANSYS Icepak.

The recording will start with a brief presentation on general tips on things to know before starting a model, how to reduce mesh count, model complex shapes, how to employ non-conformal assemblies to reduce mesh count and improve mesh count. The panel will discuss recommended solver settings and best practices for some specific applications.
