Webinar: Solutions for Positive Displacement Pumps using ANSYS 12.0
This webinar will showcase the capabilities of ANSYS software for easy and efficient simulation of positive displacement pumps. Modeling approaches utilizing moving/deforming mesh methods will be featured, along with new approaches employing the Immersed Solid model in ANSYS CFX 12.0. The use of the enhanced cavitation models in both ANSYS CFX 12.0 and ANSYS FLUENT 12.0 will also be discussed. Validation examples will be presented to illustrate capabilities of the software to model variety of positive displacement pumps, from gerotors to vane pumps, gear pumps to screw pumps. ANSYS 12.0 offers integrated technologies which enable you to analyze and design your positive displacement pumps like never before. The webinar will highlight the use of the new ANSYS Workbench environment to develop seamless workflows for your pump application. These workflows facilitate geometry and mesh creation, CFD model setup and solution, and post-processing. Pressure loads from the fluid simulations can be automatically transferred to the ANSYS Mechanical solver, which enables you to perform mechanical stress and fatigue calculations. In addition, you can perform parametric studies by automating the entire simulation process, which further permits the use of design optimization tools (such as ANSYS DesignXplorer).
